When I recently got a call from my dear friend, Connie Garrett, asking if I’d take some pictures of her three girls, I jumped at the chance! Not only are these girls simply GORGEOUS, but, more importantly, the connection I have with their mother runs deep, and I’m honored to document this important time in the life of her children. Morgan, her oldest, has just graduated from Berry College and is headed to Georgia Southern University this fall to begin work on her Masters Degree. The twins, Mary & Maureen, turned 16 earlier this year and, as unbelievable as it seems, they will be high school Juniors this fall at ECCHS! Connie, Tony would be so proud of these beautiful girls today! You and Jeff are raising three gorgeous young women with VERY bright futures! Much love to all of you! I’ve been taking pictures of this pretty redhead and her family for the last five years at our UGA tailgates each Fall in Athens. When I first met her, she was a very social 8-yr-old who talked very candidly with me about her favorite books. (I LOVE it when kids discuss literature with me!) Two weeks ago, she celebrated her 13th birthday! Wow! Becky & Jim Harrison have a teenager now, and they have sure raised a really cool young lady. She’s smart, feisty, athletic (softball is her game), well-spoken, funny, and above all she has a sincere heart for God. I’m so glad I know her! Happy Birthday, Mary! You are, without question, one of my favorite teens! (Your little brother Charlie is pretty cool, too.) P.S. I can’t wait to hang out with you and your family again real soon! Gooooooooo DAWGS! :) There’s no doubt that I love all the photo sessions I am lucky enough to be asked to do, but when a person tells me that, along with a few “formal poses”, she’d really just like for me to follow her crowd around and take pictures of them simply doing their thing….well, I just get a little bit giddy. Lifestyle photography is my real passion….capturing genuine moments as they naturally happen. That’s when you see the real eyes…the real smiles….the real personalities! Thank you, Katie Thompson & Philip Thompson for allowing my husband and me to just hang out and capture a summer evening at your corner of the lake. It’s abundantly clear that you place “family” as your number one priority and enjoy every minute of your time together! I only hope I was able to capture that love for you in these images! A couple of days ago, I got a phone call from this gorgeous woman asking me if I’d take a few pictures of her to document her pregnancy. “Nothing fancy,” she said, “just a handful of simple photos.” In fact, this 40-something beauty said she had almost talked herself out of any pictures at all this time around. “After all,” she said, “this is Baby #4…and somewhat of a surprise to us for sure.” You see, Melissa’s oldest son is the same age as mine…20 years old. She also has two more boys…ages 17 and 7…as well. However, after a little more thought, she decided she wanted to be sure this baby could look back at pictures one day and see how very excited she is about being his Mama, too. Yep, it’s another boy! Melissa, I think Baby #4 is blessed to have you as his mama! Congratulations to you and Todd on your sweet new bundle of joy! (…and thank you for giving me my very first maternity shoot experience!) Graduation has come and gone which means there's a new group of students gearing up for their Senior year! Justin Franklin is one of those "Class of 2016" Blue Devils, and I had the pleasure of spending some time with him recently in his own beautiful backyard. He’s definitely a man of few words, but those eyes and that smile spoke volumes during the shoot! In addition, as you can see, Justin is quite the athlete. He is a 3-time JROTC Raider Champion as well as a medaled wrestler. Unfortunately, due to an injury, Justin won’t be competing in either sport his senior year, but his past accomplishments speak for themselves. After graduation next year, he plans to attend UNG in Dahlonega, GA and is considering a career in sports medicine. Congrats on reaching this milestone in your life, Justin! Enjoy this last year of high school and my very best wishes for what lies beyond your Granite Bowl graduation next spring! Thanks,Daniele Franklin, for giving me this opportunity with your sweet boy! A few weeks back I shared one picture from this...my first ever!....bridal portrait session. Well, now I can proudly post an entire album of this beautiful bride! Why now? Because as of 3:00 (ceremony time) today (July 11th), on the arm of her sweet daddy, Sydney Dye was walking down the aisle to her groom, Thomas Walters! Isn't she a GORGEOUS bride? Thank you for giving me this opportunity, Sydney! What an honor! Your beauty truly does run all the way to the depths of your soul! I wish you and Thomas a lifetime of bliss together! Congratulations, Mrs. Walters! **Hair & makeup done by the very talented MacKenzie Wilder, owner of Southern Belle Hair Salon.** I had the good fortune to be asked to photograph this GORGEOUS girl recently in celebration of her upcoming birthday. In about a month, Morgan will be "sweet sixteen"! We had to go ahead and get them in, though, because this beauty is boarding a plane in just a few days headed to Japan with our Sister City program. Safe travels, Morgan, and happy, happy birthday as well! A big thanks to you and your mama, Laura Evans, for giving me this opportunity! |
