The Rice Family is hitting some milestones this year. In fact, today (Sept. 23rd) is handsome Caden’s 13th birthday! Hello, teen years! Meanwhile, gorgeous Madesyn is six weeks into her Senior Year of high school! (Didn’t I JUST take her Sweet 16 pics a couple of months ago?!) So, anyway, yeah…lots of changes are happening for Rick and Staycie Worley Rice this year, but that’s to be expected. Change is inevitable, right? What an exciting time! Thanks for letting me tag along with y’all on this milestone year, Rice Family. Happy Birthday to Caden, and, Madesyn, I’m looking to a few more sessions between now and the turning of the tassel next spring, pretty girl! I always tell clients that, whenever possible, the best place to take pictures is wherever feels the most like home. For this family…particularly the husband/father…Clarks Hill Reservoir fits the description! Josh Brown told me he spent much of his childhood at this very place. He actually asked me to take some pictures of the lake itself after we were done because it means so much to him. Josh and Amy Brown, I hope you make as many sweet memories with your own two girls at this magical place. Something tells me you will! Thanks for trusting me to capture some of those moments for you. It was my pleasure! You may recognize this face from a surprise photo shoot I did a year ago for her Mama’s Christmas gift. She and her sister are pretty girls for sure, but, wow, she’s grown up an awful lot in just a year’s time! It’s hard to believe that this beauty is a high school senior! I remember when she was just a little girl playing the role of “Scout” in To Kill a Mockingbird on the Elbert Theatre stage. Now look at her… among other things, she’s editor of our school newspaper, the #1 Singles player on our Girls Tennis team, a recent participant in our sister city program with Mure Cho, Japan, and most importantly, a member of ECCHS’s Class of 2016. Katie Kubas, I hope you enjoy every moment of this last year of high school. Trust me when I tell you…it will fly by! You’ll be putting on that cap and gown before you know it! Thanks to you and your parents, Chris and Susan Kubas for letting me tag along on your yearlong journey to The Granite Bowl! Much love to you! I had the pleasure of working with this gorgeous young woman recently in celebration of her “Sweet Sixteen” milestone. I have known Lauren since she was just a tiny little thing when our families used to enjoy lake weekends together in pontoons out on the water. It doesn’t seem like it was THAT long ago, but, clearly it was because, well…look at these pictures! She was cute back then, but, now?...now she is simply breathtaking! Beyond that, she’s also smart, a member of our high school golf team, and a recent participant in our Sister City Student Exchange program with Mure Cho, Japan. She’s not sure what she wants to do beyond high school at this point, but I’m thinking she might want to check into the world of modeling! As I pulled these images off my camera and got a good look at them these last few days, it’s like looking at a true carbon copy of her mama, Candice Brown (who is also quite the beauty, by the way)! Lauren, I thank you and your mama for allowing me this super-fun opportunity. Happy Birthday and my very best wishes for your best year yet! Much love! ~D |
